We Hope And We Wait...

In addition to physical and financial challenges that COVID-19 has thus brought, an upswing with experiencing higher levels of angst, doubt, and confusion is a 'given'. One of the blessings of being a person who has suffered from C-PTSD an entire life is that one becomes a pro at working around anxiety, doubt and confusion.

Many tools have been gained through a process to divert angst into positive energy, but you first have to be willing to 'dig in'. Get some tips from...https://missdebcan.com/mental-w-illness

Try to 'dig in' to these questions: 'What are you most passionate about?' and 'How can I use my passion to make a positive difference?'

My number one passion is Hope. Regardless of situations or challenges at hand, the desire to come to a level of Hope is foremost.

How does one find Hope amid not just a pandemic, but one caused by a virus that is new to us, therefore unpredictable? The challenges are creating so many twists and turns that we can not be sure whether we are driving in the right direction or, even at times, still on the best road.

It is difficult to realize Hope during such challenging seasons as pandemics and losing loved ones. There are times that it gets complicated to wrap the mind around the 'why' of it all. Although answers often cannot be found readily, they do come with a little digging and the sooner we 'dig in' for answers and plant new seeds, the faster they come.

Benjamin Franklin, that 'crazy' man who stood out in the rain, praying to get hit by lightning, reportedly said..."By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail." I see our mortal man duty in all of this is to 'dig in' now to discern what seeds to plant and then 'wait'.

In what ways can I show that I have Faith that there is a long-term plan for good?
What can I do to ensure that my family is best prepared to meet Today's challenges?
What good seeds can I plant and looking back, say, "We are a better people for it."

Trust and stay in the Hope of knowing that the ultimate good is the long-term goal. I found this scripture quite appropriate for this season: "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded." James 4:8

Stay informed, thus aware of how you can be best prepared for Self, Family and Community. Proverbs 22:3 instructs us that a person can be prepared by watching for the trouble and avoiding it, so pay close attention to what is actually going on.

It is predicted that Florida will probably be known as the new 'hot spot' for the virus for the next 3 months. We are praying that it actually does get hot enough here in Florida this summer.

After we have practised washing our hands, not touching our faces and social distancing for a reasonable length of time, the virus hopefully will not be able to continue spreading.

What do we do on an individual basis in the meantime?

Gather and store for the next 3 months to ensure that your family's needs will be met...not hoard, just 'meet' the needs of your loved ones.

Share your Faith, talents and blessings. Teach others to share His word, individual skills and extra gifts, inspiring others to do the same.

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." I Peter 4:10

What gifts has God given you that you can share with others?

In what ways can you combine a small gift with another's small gift to increase a benefit to share with many?

THIS IS THE TIME TO 'DIG IN'!

ASK AND ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS
PLANT YOUR SEEDS ... AND "WAIT"

THERE IS HOPE FOR US ALL
